About LinkBacksYes. Even at 350-400 yards the 6.5x55 can be a slow killer at times. I've used it on 100s of animals.
Its not the wonder-round its cracked up to be. Just a good medium capacity case like a whole group of others. A slight edge over some others because of BC and SD, but not much. For belting down animals, the 308 and 165 grn and a full case will eclipse it.
If you want to knock them down emphatically, go for more horse power.
