About LinkBacks6.5x55 is a brilliant setup if you reload. Run the numbers 140gn amax @ 2750fps... That's 1000ftlb to 700yards
Plenty of range and oomf for most people.
My 6.5 is chopped to 18.5 with a suppressor added; I was still pushing 140's @ 2600 which is 1000ftlb to 600 yards again, PLENTY.
