    6BR Norma

    Hi all

Looking for advice on where to get a new barrel chambered and fitted for my 6BR. My usual gunsmith doesn't have the tooling for the 6BR so I am interested in who does. Any recommendations appreciated as well.

    Cheers

    Paul

Are you sure of that? Because gunsmiths who lend or hire their expensive reamer to just anybody are unheard of.
Maybe more along the lines that you can hire his reamer and his services for him to chamber and fit your barrel to your action?

Actually you're right Friwi, it was only that he totally trusted the gunsmith. It wasn't his std policy now that you mention it.

Dean Maisey has 22 and 6mm BR reamers. He has done 2 6BRs for me, a 20BR and I'm now on a 22BR.

What action?, single shot or repeater? BR case can feed and eject depending on action. Rem ok, Tikka not ideal, have heard Savage ok but no experience with them. Sako 85 not ideal.

Howa SA magwell feeds 6BR & 22BR quite well - not faultlessly but then I've never needed rapid fire :-)
