The P is for Precision not for Practical, hence why PRS is not overly practical anymore.

If you did want to add some weight buy not go full retard with the Da rail, I've been working with a gun to get some steel ARCA rails made up. Don't have any yet but might pull finger next year and get it done.
I've done a few for guys in mild. SS would be better, just slower machining time. Alloy with weight would be nice. Easier to remove the weights for hunting

Interesting that you found some magazines still have "issues" with the GT. The primary reason I've sworn off 6 ARC/Valkyrie etc is the feed issues. I had a set of 6GT dies but never built the rifle as my experiments with dummy rounds showed that it wasn't infalible either - for me it only takes 1 in 50 or so (I.e. very occasional) feed problems to fustrate the hell outta me.

The Magpul 10 rounder has a mag design issue not a feeding issue. The mag body bulges out when loaded with 10rd and the follower tilts and binds up.

The Magpul 5/6 work perfectly and the AI 10 works perfectly after a small tweak to the feed lips - it didn't pick up rd 9 which is more of a rifle/mag setup issue than cartridge issue.

I appreciate the time and effort that goes into making them, I tried once. Have started rewatching them on nightshift.

I had the same issues but when I looked at it I found that the magazine well had a lot of clearance on the sides of the magazine so I epoxied into the stock two pieces of the correct size aluminium sheet metal to stop the bulging and it feeds as it should. The mag is a bit firmer to push in and extract but I don’t care. It works

    Looks sweet.
Why did you go the the EH8 over something like the EH1?

I find myself preferring a more vertical grip for everything these days.

I like the EH8. It is a lightweight and compact stock with a short forend (no longer than I can use) and a high comb. I am proficient at shooting with it. I think the advantages of vertical grips are over-stated on the internet; there probably is some advantage in some positions but I think it's a 3% optimization level of improvement, not a must-have 30%.

I might be wrong - but it also is highly dependent on the activity being undertaken. For hunting I don't think stock design is a big driver of shot success. For getting from top 10 to top 5 in PRS, sure, you might want all the optimization available.

I'll be exceedingly happy if I can get mid-pack consistently in matches with this setup. If I can ever make it to some

The grip on my manners isn’t my favourite but it’s ok , the build quality is top notch though ,I do find them a bit slippery though, few posts on here about a guy ( Murph I think) who can add grip which I am considering

I do think I'm seeing some lot to lot variation in the ELDMs, I purchased 1000x 108s of a single lot off here after testing initially with a different lot - I seem to be seeing worse precision. Maybe that's why the 1000 were cheap...

Doesn't really matter as the precision is far from being the limiting factor, I'll shoot them up and work on first order problems - fundamentals, building positions, and spotting shots.
