6mm creedmoor definitely not easier on throats than the 6.5 model, but probably easier than the 243 due to shoulder angles etc. That said, 1500- 2000 rounds isnt out of the question. I dont run my 6mm super fast. But its a comp gun, so long strings are frequent. I love my 6 creed, that said, id love a 243 too- so long as it carried the 7 or 8" twist needed for the 100gr + projectiles. The 108 eldm is a perfect all rounder for varmints, deer and steel. I run 107smk in mine, doesn't expand particularly reliably but for steel work its epic. Have taken it to 1620 so far and have been very competitive with it (mainly the prone stuff but positional stuff is inproving too)
That being said, a 243 with a 90gr eldx or the 95gr tmk will go really well, but imo your not getting the most from the slender 6mm if your not over 100gr
Yeah I get what you're saying, but do I need to get the most out of it? Probably not. From what people are saying, the 243 will do what I want to the range I want with a 10 twist.
