    7.65x53 Reamer

Does anyone know a NZ gunsmith who has a 7.65x53 reamer? Google doesn't know!

    Thanks

    Interesting cartridge
Same ballistics as 303 without rim and more modern neck type

I see where this is going

    Bump.

And yes Ak1, set the barrel back, rechamber to rimless (with the bonus that the original rifles were offered in this cartridge). No new barrel and same extractor, if it doesn't work 5hen maybe rebarrel to 7x57

Haha but imagine trying to alter an extractor that is impossible to get, not to mention altering the mag box, follower and feed lips to a rimmed cartridge!

Gidday - I have a 1924 Mauser Oberndorf sporter - its been rebarrelled at some point with a Lee Enfield 303 barrel (and is chambered in 303 British). If I could find a 7.65x53 reamer one possibility is to set the barrel back and rechamber as Mausers don't function that well with rimmed cartridges (with a few specially modified exceptions).

    Cheers
