Thread: 7mm mag to a 6.5prc?

Yeah, I have. I'm pretty happy. Have set up 4, tikka and Bergara. Limited factory ammo options but the Hornady match stuff seems to like most guns. Really nice to shoot compared to rem mag and ballistically similar at realistic ranges. Kills well. I would say it's less forgiving than a 30 Cal for poor shot placement. But then its more accurate, generally. I'm in Manawatu if you wanted to shoot one. Also, it will lose speed if you cut it too much and turn into a creedmoor, not a bad thing but will effect your max range etc. I have a 24 inch, 22 inch, 21 inch and 20 inch. I would go 22 for an all rounder.

Cheers for the offer, me mate @199p has a lender if needed. It’s a close call between a saum and 6.5prc. 20inch is a handy length unfortunately, four prcs is madness. The 147 seems to have a good reputation like the 162.
