Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50, not the best of optics out there but very reliable dialing.

Vortex Diamondback 4 x 16 HP, dials well have enough elevation to out past 1500 yards ( not that I will use that much)

Gee, I use a lowly 3 - 10 Burris Signature series.
It don't really matter what you use as long as it works for you.
I have a 2.5 x10 Nikon Monarch on my 30 06 and even at 500 yards I can plainly see the aim point on my gong ( 12 inch x 12 inch) even the orange aim point is visible. Higher magnification is always good but you can get by with less.
Leupold VX-5HD 3-15-44. Great fit for the rifle and all that I'll need for my use.
very early HAKKO 4-16x50 from light optical works Japan. 8" disks at 1k are clear as providing there's no heavy mirage.

Schmidt and Bender PM11 5 -25 x 56. Great scope.
