    7mmSaum test fire

Took the new 7mm saum out today for a sight in, pressure test and formative load development. 100 yards.

Top left Fed Fusion 160grn and 2217 in 1 grain increments. Top right Fed Fusion 160grn and V100 in 1 grain increments. Bottom, Federal TBT 160 grn and V100 in 1 grain increments.

The odd pulled shot but there is a nice theme going on there. One very slight ejector stamp mark at .5 grn over book max with 2217. Chronograph tomorrow and am expecting 2950 fps (22" barrel).

The wind had got up for the bottom TBT test.

@7mmsaum 67.5 grn 2217 was the ejector stamp mark load. 67 was fine. Brand new brass though. But 67.5 and 67 were touching.

I found I hit pressure with 2217 too early and then went to RL22 but I would use RL26.

Yes it would have been a great trip, haven't hunted with Rod for many years and it would have been a good time to catch up with you and Brian. I thought I better see my mum for her 91 st birthday as she isn't getting any younger. Definitely another time would be great.
