Dad has a 4 x Pecar scope on his 1964 Winchester Mod 88 .284. It was his everyday rifle until last year when he decided it was too good to be dragged about in the bush and bought a Browning Shortrac 7mm WSM with a VX3 to replace it. That's after dragging it about in the bush and hills for 40+ years of owning it
Nothing wrong with the Pecar scope, still works as good as the day he bought it. That rifle has shot hundreds if not thousands of animals.
Your scope should have markings on it somewhere to distinguish what it is?
Pecars come up on TM from time to time and still attract good prices.
Wee problem with those vintage European scopes was the 26mm tubes.
