    Pecar also produced an alloy tubed version of their standard 4x steel tubed model the 4x81 Light.
    Note that the objective diameter of Pecar 4x81 scopes is not 81mm but 36mm. The 81 designation is simply the luminosity figure arrived at from 4 x 9=36 with 81 being the square root of 9.
    Hey Matt, I know it was only Tokoroa High School, and it was 1974, but my Maths teacher Johnny Khoo taught me 81 was 9 squared, the Square root of 81 being 9.....just saying
