After a Yugo M48 Mauser Clone - anyone imported firearms from Canada?

I'm interested in getting my hands on a yugo m48 rifle as they seem to be a much cheaper way of getting a really good condition rifle that is very similar to a kar98k.

Can't see any for sale over here in NZ but I've noticed a few of these for sale in the States and Canada at very reasonable prices.

Has anyone got a rifle out of Canada? I'm wondering if they dont have those pesky Itar rules and it would be a lot cheaper.

    Cheers

I got one from reloaders 5 years ago, barrel was f**ked but it grouped well enough with reloads of only one type of projectile. Have recently had it re barreled with a new lother walther barrel. still testing but its going good with 170 grain speers, will try some 198 S&B pills next.

Aoraki Ammo had 6 only 2 months ago. Most numbers matching with bayonets. Some in different variations, ie M48 and M48A . Around $1300. I was going to buy one but a super awesome forum member sold me a lovely K98 instead. I was actually quite surprised how low key they were kept, as in no advertising on here, or TM or even on their web site.
Actual photo of one sent to me

Mark to see who has done that before. Gonna bring all my gears back next year.

If it is from Canada not the States, i guess as long as the party who is selling have your firearm license info for CFO and/or CBSA reference, the rest is just the shipping. It is a non restricted firearm, so transfer ownership does not need to go through the authority. Heard shipping is not cheap.
