Thread: aftermarket trigger

has anyone fitted an aftermarket trigger to a m96 mauser im looking at it don't want to stuff around with changing it to cock on opening as the current cock on closing isn't a problem for me cheers

For hunting? For the P14 you can get a trigger with a ball bearing on top to make it less gritty, I assume (since its a mauser) similar is available for the m96.

I want to pick on up at some stage so let me know how you get on.

ok I will looking at a couple at brownells a timney sportsman or theres a Dayton looks like reloaders don't have any id prefer to support someone in nz as long as the price isn't excessive its for hunting

Yep I put a Timney into a Swedish Mauser, was fairly stright forward to do and improved it 100%... Outdoor Supplies in Carterton supplied it
