Yep my sons got a Hawke Vantage 3-9x40 and its really good for the money, clear glass and adjustable parallax.
Nikko Airking if you can find one. a 3-9 x 40 should set you back $200-$300 ish. If new they come with mounts and they are specifically built to withstand the vibrations from the springs. They are also very good on Rimfire.
Believe it or not, Airguns are harder on scopes than large centrefires.....Scopes can handle a jolt from recoil, but an air rifle spring is not dissimilar to putting it into a paint shaker....
Intelligence has its limits, but it appears that Stupidity knows no bounds......
Sweet will have a look for the mentioned brands
Something where the parallax dials below 50m.
Leapers - is another springer proof brand, have had a good run with them.
On my Crossman 1000 I have a Gamo 4x with front focus which is useful as you can focus to about 10 yards. Since it was put on my rifle I have never had to readjust the zero, can't complain with that.
Keep it coming guys
So far gun city nor stoeger can make a airgun scope
Yes and thanks.
Just Springers that are the problem child in the air gun world.
If you are having issues finding a Leaper or an AirKing scope try Youngs AirGun's
Z
I have a Nikko Diamond FFP on my springer Diamond FFP 4-16x44
Set up the shooting bench and dialled up 5m increment targets out to 50m and put turret stickers on the elevation turret. Many a magpie and a rabbit has lost its life from the kitchen window with this setup.
Funny really, I don't dial any of my centrefires, but I do on my rimfires and my springer.
Like the others have said, Hawke (personal favorite), Leapers or the Air king range from Nikko will all handle springers. Hawke are great value for money and they have a great range, all with nice fine reticles and clear glass - my normal go to model to advise is the 3-9x40AO Mildot Sport HD.
