Hi all,
What's everyone using to store bulk ammo? Never had the requirement before (the separate section in gun safe was large enough). Now i'd like to store a few hundred 12ga shells as I go through quite a few clay shooting.
Been looking at a few options. The old 50cal lockable ammo tin....but looks like they only store about 150 or so. There's other options like those MTM plastic cases - but again size is fairly limiting. The large ones seem to be able to hold about 250 rounds, but still not enough. They are water tight though, which is good. Could always get a couple of them I suppose.
Then there are these - Search - tool box
The old chequer plate toolbox. What do you think of these? They look quite cheap and not as sturdy as the really top grade ones you see but I might go and check them out.
How important is being water tight to prevent moisture damage, etc? Would a toolbox work with some of those moisture absorbers chucked in, or would you go water tight option?
Thanks!
