Whilst these have their uses ( and they are excellent for looking in wall cavities etc) they just don't cut the mustard as a barrel borescope. They don't have the resolution or magnification (even when enhancing the image on a PC) or the right angled mirror which is really the issue for barrel inspections. Mate started out with USB one similar to that in the link and once he used my Hawk Eye he immediately imported one for himself. Hawke Eyes are f...ken expensive and are a serious purchase but there is no cheap equivalent.
Although having said that there is a bore scope branded Setford being sold in Oz which may be a Chinese copy of the Hawk Eye.
