    Angle Cosine Indicator

    Hey there lads

Got a bee in my bonnet about not seemingly being able to get a good ACI out of 'merica for some bloody reason. I found some rip off dudes here and there (even on ebay shipping out of USA so its total BS that they can't ship this)

Anyway - The Brits saved the day

    Angle Cosine Indicator ACI

I also managed to buy a spuhr mount for the thing - hoping like hell it fits

I just use my ap on my phone with the timer.
The indicator is alk good but you have to get out of your shooting position to look at your chart or put the cosine into your app any way.
Either way you generally have enough time for either

    I just use my fist....

Stick your arm out, count how many fist heights the angle is below or above horizontal. Each fist height is roughly 10 degrees.

    K.I.S.S.

P.S. same measurement and calc applies in the horizontal plane for wind angle value...

I also hate the noise they make when you pull the trigger. Minor, but annoying.

I'm getting one of these because it will work in the rain, and its faster than a phone. Using phones requires 2 hands and takes too long (but it does still work).

Also - a good rangefinder is easier to find if your not trying to get one with a ballistic computer with it. My next purchase will be a terrapin or the like that will get me out to 1200m on grass or rough targets.

I just put my phone on the top turret to get the angles, it takes no time as shooter is allready up, it's in a cover so rain doesn't matter.
You certainly won't need a terrapin to go 1200 on grass you could save heaps of $ a lecia will would be fine IMO.

    Pass someone will no.
    I'd go here
    http://www.outdoorsupplies.co.nz/rangefinder.htm
You'll have about $3000 left over from your terrapin money to get some sweet binos
