Thread: Another corrosion test

One big problem with tests like this is that they don't prep their steel samples properly.
The washers and the angle iron used in the tests are from hot rolled steel, which has a heavy but inconsistent layer of mill scale on it, with is actually quite corrosion resistant in its own right. To get a real comparison, they should be using polished steel samples.
