    Marlin 1894 in .357 or a Rossi in .357.

    Rossi around $600 - $900 depending on new or used for a stainless one.

    But if you buy a stainless one for cowboy action shooting, you will be looked at as strange.

    Marlins are much more expensive. There were some horrible ones that came out of the Remington factory when they moved the production line to Remington.

    Apparently they are much better now, but still three times the price of a Rossi.
