Another "What Rifle" thread. Norinco JW-15 vs Ruger 10/22

Hey all. I apologise for another one of these threads, but I want to get some opinions on a pee shooter.

I have an opportunity to shot possums and rabbits on a block of land very close to me, BUT it must be a .22 I do not own a .22 so I need to get one. Now I have had .22's in the past (sterling, norinco em332) but never a semi. The ruger appeals but at $599 for a suppressed 4x32 scope stainless version I am a little unsure if I want to spend that much on a bunny gun. So someone suggested a Norinco JW15. Now I have had a play with one at H&F and fuck me that's a horrible action, but I am assured they get better with use, and are fairly accurate.

The rugger is obviously much better quality, but the norinico is CHEAP. What do you guys reckon. I am not adverse to spending the $600, but if I can get something as good for less, or something better for the same i'd be all over it. I'd like a nice CZ, but they are too much for a gun that gets used once in a blue moon. Ideally i'd like to get the ruger bare, and buy a DPT supressor and a nice leupold/redfield/nikon/bushnell 3-9x40, but then the cost goes up even more, so fuck knows.
