Guys what’s the word on the Wellington arms auctions?
I guess they’re unlikely to resume in the short term ?
I see no dates on their website.
My elderly dad has a bunch of old rifles he was planning to send to auction and I am wondering what’s the go ?
Some are old and probably not worth much, but some are in GC and too good for the cops to crush.
Any info appreciated

There's also a video on forgotten weapons YouTube channel about the different designs that the k 98 went through.
most likely a post war build from NOS parts left over in the factories thousands were pumped out as there was a demand worldwide and it also provided a boost for economies trying to recover after 5 years of war and 10 years of depression. the stampings on the receiver would give a ballpark guess as to where and when it was assembled . being that he bought it in 1960 it could have technically been new (never used) even tho the parts were maybe 15 years old .Quote:
