    Any gunsmith can do Titanium Nitride (TiN) barrel coating?

    Hi, if you know anyone can do Titanium Nitride (TiN) barrel coating in NZ, could you tell me pleas? Thanks.

    There is a company in Auckland that is doing it, sorry dont know the name. Apparently its the only one that is easily available. And if you're sending firearms parts then it needs to be with the approved courier, think its now called Aramex. Theyre very fussy who they receive parts from.

    Thanks Hunsky1600. I can imagine why they are fussy. It is all because they are the only ones (which is not sweet for us...)

    I think there are should be more than one can do Titanium Nitride coating in NZ. Do they need a gunsmith licsence to do a barrel coating?

    Maybe your local gunsmith will know who does it, Im thinking that gunsmiths must get the odd part that needs Nitriding.

    Not sure about Titanium Nitriding but these guys do Nitriding, I have seen their black nitriding which looks good.

    Have had a few ram speers black corrosion nitrided and they hold up really well.
