Thread: Anyone bought a scope from the US in the last few months

Wanting a burris hd 3-15x44 with plex recticle, don't like the look and size of the illumination turret
no one seems to have one and think it will be 850ish nzd from optics planet, is it as easy as just buying it off the site and waiting for it to turn up

Issue being how they get it to NZ. Pretty sure USPS is still not shipping to NZ. Depends on who they use I guess.

It looks to me like the US Govt has slapped export restrictions on some firearms related products including rifle scopes.

I've received some shipments from USPS in the last month or so. Either started again or sending on through an alternative carrier.

The freight is the big killer and no doubt there will be some additional processing/ handling fees (often hidden in "freight") if you're dealing with an outfit that has the export permits. I've just been quoted US$98 to ship one box of Lapua brass.

Two outfits whom I have brought scopes and rings off now state "won't ship to New Zealand" has our great leader been in Biden's ear.
