    Anyone built a 6mm Grendel/6mm AR/6mm Predator/243 LBC?

All the same, just a basic neck down of a 6.5 Grendel to 6mm.

Yup. Had a LBC reamer but never got round to chamber a barrel with it, the 6PPC was going so well that I ended up selling the reamer to a mate.

    Ordered a Howa in 6ARC......

When are the Howa 6ARC's due to our shores?

From the research id done on the 6 AR i reckon i could have pushed an 87gr at close on 3k.

How much less capacity does the ARC have?

Certainly a cheaper and easier way of getting very similar cartridge.

I was getting around 3050 with 87gr vmax when fireforming 6mmBR brass to 6mmBRA. 30.8gr of powder out of a 24" barrel.

What sort of powder capacity is the case you are looking at using?

If it's not a first round hit you need to practice more

    Nice!

I was just looking at a blokes data from his 243 lbc (6mm Grendel) 22" barrel. His pet load was 87gr vmax in front of 28.6gr of 8208 for right on 3k

It seems really good performance for the amount of powder burnt.

What do you use your 6mm BRA for?

I built it for varminting but have used it for a couple of matches recently. Got a heavy barrel that I'm chambering in BRA too which will be primarily for match shooting

    Nice, pretty handy little shooter.

Did you start with a new barrel blank or was that a take off barrel that youve had a new tenon cut to suit. Are you able to disclose your powder and charge weight?

New 6mm barrel from Truefile (have a cheap 7.62x39 if you want a new one) wanted their deep valute fluting to help cooling as this rifle fires lots of rounds (45 goats last weekend). The 87gn bullets perfect for bigger animals deer and 75gn perfect for goats.

Good stuff. So has truflite got the reamer?

Which 87gr and 75gr are you using.

Ive seen what 87gr Vmaxs from a short barreled 243 do to goats, very impressive.
