Anyone gone the proof research prefit barrel route here?

Anyone had a proof research prefit tikka carbon or steel barrel fitted here are they alot more pricey than say getting a hardy?

Proof prefits are common and popular in the US.
They seem to prefer proof carbon to the Hardy Carbon barrels there.

The steel barrels are a pretty good price (in USD) but not sure how you'd get on importing one.
Its a shame we can't get well priced prefits here, there's atleast half a dozen places in the US that does prefit barrels in the US.
Certainly nice being able to play around with calibers for just the price of a new barrel.

That's what I was hoping to achieve (cheap swap barrel/cal option) but sounds like it's a no go for now here....

Have you talked to nz ammo? I think they are the importers
