How badly does that copper fouling affect accuracy? Is it a hunting or target rifle Are we talking plus half a moa if so then that's within experimental error and not worth worrying about.
Fouling both copper and carbon will reach an equilibrium point where no more accumulates and theoretically the barrel will shoot consistently at that point.
One of my 223 has fired over 7000 rounds and has only been cleaned with a bore brush and solvent occasionally usually when the chamber gets sticky just a bore snake and light oil is its usual clean. The rifling is streaked with copper way worse than yours there's even a bit in the grooves but it still keeps doing 3/4 moa.
Honestly I'm afraid to clean it thoroughly in case I destroy the accuracy.

New rifles, I give the barrel a good clean to get rid of the preserving oil then I just shoot them.
Normally I just put a few solvent soaked patches through to clean and then a lightly oiled patch. I only break out a brush if it’s really filthy.
I always put I dry patch through the bore before shooting..

Copper fouling can hurt accuracy. My brother had an old Remington 243 that he got 2nd hand and put I heap of rounds through it.
It would shoot 5” sprays at 100m and asked if I wanted it.
Looking from the muzzle end I could not make out the rifling.
1 day of soaking and scrubbing with copper removal revealed the rifling and it was back to shooting under an inch at 100m.

My target rifle, it takes about 5-8 shots to get back in the groove, group and velocity wise after giving the barrel a good deep clean. An interesting experiment if you have a good crony and the time.

All my F Class barrels are usually on song after 1 shot. Confirmed by LabRadar and on the target. And if I am clever I aim off with elevation with my first sighter and can usually nail it. My only barrel that takes say 3-4 shots to settle is my one I use Moly coated projectiles in it. My work around for it is to fire 2 shots at home before heading off to the match.

Based on what? I would hazard a guess that a 358 winchester would last long as would any other catidges that are more underbored.

Ask @akaroa1 about lapping with a lead slug cast in the barrel
