anyone know a military scope/optics repairer?

does anyone know any scope repairers in NZ that could lend a hand?

I have a Israeli No32 scope off a lee enfield No4 (T) rifle that I can't seem to focus. Im starting to think that the objective lens needs adjusting. the rifle and scope are unissued.

    Any leads will be appreciated!

    Cheers

    Where are you based ?

Andrew Rackstraw in Upper Hutt is a wizard when it comes to scope repair.

    Am based in Southland,
have been in touch with Richard Wilhelm but he isn't keen to touch a scope that he can't get replacement parts for which is understandable.

Ring Andrew he's at 2 Argyle grove Wallaceville Upper Hutt. You'll find him in the white pages. He may off course be out scaring the shit out of other road users in his BMW Z4 or 1200 RS

I ended up sending my No32 to the UK to have it overhauled, the lack of local experience with them and the difficulties in getting parts made me think it was worth the time and cost

Join the milsurps.com forum. Lots of info on the No.32 on there. Contact Peter Laidler, he's a very helpful gentleman in the UK.

Andrew is happy to have a look but i'll hold off on sending it to him until i've done more research.
i have been in touch with Peter and another fellow in Canada about what to do. Ive tried adjusting the erector cell yea but with the graticule in focus the image isn't clear at all, could be a fiddly fix....

Andrew was an English army armourer I believe, he did some great work on WW2 Binoculars and early Euro scopes I had.

I got my redfield scope back from Andrew the other day.

It's fixed! Good turn around within 2 weeks including the courier delivery to and from and very well priced. No complaints there.
