    Yep, I have done it a fair few times. Prep is a bitch. It is time consuming and takes half a day in and out of the bath.
    I had some awesome results and some poor ones with the exact same prep and method employed. One of my best results was an old .577 Schnieder.
    Rewarding when it works well as it is a nice finish.
    Do what ya want! Ya will anyway.
