if you play with loads,the recoil just isnt a thing with the big round...no need for dinosaur slaying loads for goats or tin cans etc.... that huge hunk of lead just keeps trundling along happily even at slower speeds. until you get into bottom of top tier of loads...something above 45grns of 2208 with 405grn...the recoil is more of a shove than a boot..and black powder feels like mild .410 shotgun load.
