Thread: AR 15 Brass catcher - hunting

Hello - I'm a newbie to AR's but my 300 Blk is up and running, and hopefully will be out on the hill soon. I've looked at several commercial brass catchers and they look to be a total PIA for our hunting conditions . . . for a start I can't ever see me using more than a 5 shot magful for any of my hunting situations and usually it'll be 3 or less. However I would like to retrieve the brass

So - what do you use and how does it go in thick stuff (lawyer, bush, scrub etc) or for getting caught up in stuff (fences, vehicles etc) ??

At the moment I'm sorta thinking the baseball cap hack is the way to go.
