    Ar-15 repair?

    My Schmeisser Ar-15 has started firing when the trigger is slowly reset (doesn't happen when you release it quickly).

    From reading online it apears to be a symptom of the disconnector being too far backward. Is there a gunsmith in Auckland ? I know MAE is long gone.

    Cheers

    I am Howick ways, where abouts are you? I am not 100% sure it is the disconnector but from what I have read it sounds like that is what it is?

    Awesome rifle man is that the 16"?

    I have the 20" A4 looks very similar.

    I'm in Pukekohe, but regularly head that way for work and to visit the in laws.
    Happy to help swap the disconnector to see if makes a difference.

    Yep mine is the 16".
    Quality rifles.

    @dogmatix

    Some refer to your shoulder stock type as "paddle". IMHO that's an offensive name for something that's both functional and nice looking. And classic Vietnam era of course.

    Still don't have an A1 clone like beavis or grunzter though.
