About LinkBacksi'm in the same boat temptation is getting the best of me i want an AR bad so bad and i have a nice tax return coming in.....but i'm not to clued up on whats a good ar ? also have a mate that's from the states that has a H&K AR back in the states but i have notasked him if he wants to sell it and have it shipped over should i look into this ?

Na too much hassle. This is a good buy New CMMG M4 AR-15 .223 | Trade Me if you want a basic M4 style rifle
