No haven't bought the qc10 lower yet as just tossing up whether I get a 9mm AR or stick to 223 and get a Colt Competition CRP for the same price. What's the recoil like In 9mm vs 223?

    I have the stag 9T.
It has more felt recoil than any of my compensated 223 AR's (Impact from the heavier bolt) but its far nicer to shoot as there is nowhere near the same noise and muzzle blast.
I can shoot it crazy fast and keep all the rounds on the target.
Do a search on Stag 9T on this forum and you will see my write-up on it.
I have had some ongoing issues (broken bolt catches) but NZGuns are working on sorting it.
I have no issues with the Colt mags. Buy a lula loader to save your thumb.

Currently have a HYDRA-multi caliber AR platform. 9mm uses colt mags - nice shooter, 9mm great to shoot & relatively inexpensive. Was looking essentially for a dedicated range toy, but the Hydra doesn't allow a lot of modularity...had a look at the JRC carbine etc but decided on a QC10 glock build (glock mags are readily available and easy to load) and thought I'd share some costings for those thinking about taking the leap.
    Stripped lower & dedicated bolt - $1280
    Raptor charging handle - $179.90
    Anderson stripped upper - $176.90
    Brownells 9mm buffer/Rock River 9mm spacer - $90
    CAA buffer tube $99
    Magpul qd sling plate $69.90
Buffer tube castle nut - $14.95
    Buffer Spring - $30? (had a spare)
AIL fixed tube A Cat Stock - $299.95
BAD safety ambi selector - $139.95
    Giselle Super Semi-Auto Enhanced trigger - $499.90
JP lower parts kit - $99.90
    9mm barrel - $550
Handguard - $350 (budgeted as still undecided)
.....add 9mm carbine suppressor & optic....
Obviously added a few bells & whistles...dedicated package, or find buy someone else's project probably best way to go.
