    AR15 cleaning with Paslode degreaser

So the can says it is safe on plastics, leaves no residue, cleans and dries quickly, will not harm electronics on Paslode guns.

Im going to call Paslode when they are open and ask if it is safe on all plastics, and as the Paslode guns have rubber o rings in them then ill assume it is safe on rubber too...

Im thinking these cans would be great at cleaning the tight little gaps etc, especially on my JR carbine which is a real pain to clean properly.

Have any of you lot tried something like this?
    cheers

Brake cleaner? Always meant to try it but don't get my guns dirty enough and keep using it on the car instead.
Some of the electrical cleaners look good too but not all of them are nice to plastic.

Tried using brakleen on my CZ shadow trigger/ hammer area with the mag and rubber grips removed, but that was all steel. So far so good.

    Is the JR part plastic?

I just used paslode degreaser on my ar and so far so good. ill let you lot know in a week or two if the finish degrades etc.
No need to remove any plastic etc with the paslode stuff
Only thing is it costs about $21 a can! but I only plan to use it on the trigger group area and my JR carbine which is a real pain to disassemble, so should last a while.

I rekon the brake cleaner is a bit too risky, unless you pull all the sensitive parts off first. But if you are going to pull it all apart then might as well just clean it the old fashioned way.

Plastics aside, brake clean is good stuff. Just give it time to gas off, and then apply inox or lanox.
It will make stuff rust if you don’t put something on after use though.

Depends on if you have plastic firearm or a real firearm......

Don’t use it on a glock.......(unless disassembled and only on the metal bits.....)
