Where is a good place to get a few 7 round Ar15 (.223) magazines?

Spear Mags?

Plus a low profile gas block - mine is a A2?

Dunno lots about them - only that wanted one and now semi by accident I do

Contact forum member Veerami. He has some 7 shot Stoner AR Mags. Stoner mags are great.

Low profile gas blocks allow the rail to over lap or free float. But by A2, you mean it has the A2 front sight? Pictures might help.

yea i second that, my best 7 shot mag is a stoner one

the inportant thing with ordering a gas block is the diameter of the barrel its all imperial, so it should be either .625 .750 or bigger if its a heavy target barrel, veermani is good to deal with, and so is Digit at nzar15.com

They were selling schmeisser ar mags a while ago, I've not had a problem with them, seem to work well

As gimp said, that way you keep the original pins ,they are way stronger than any screw of a low pro gas block.

True - never thought of that

Or don't worry about it, it ghosts out on ~1x and isn't really visible on anything much above that, it's not a problem. I have a fixed front with my 1x/4x and it doesn't bother me.

Yeah I'm going to try it first - have a 3x30 acog coming for it

There is a bit of demand for A2 sight posts, you may be able to get a swap done with someone. The taper pins are strong but can deform the barrel if badly installed. Low profile gas blocks dont need to be anchored to the barrel as rotational torque is low. Grub screws do up fine.
