    AR15 Suppressors

Any one got an Opinion on the DPT and Waitaki Suppressors?

Looks like DPT is the lighter by 70 grams as Aluminium a bit longer and cheaper

Waitaki being shorter, stainless steel, and a lil bit more expensive

Any opinions of people who own them would be appriecated!!

Have 2 Waitaki Cans, not quite as quiet as my original but for the money great value. I would buy another. I like their titanium ones but not at the price they are (8 hundy or so)

had both - both work well, depends how many shots you plan shoot one after the other, if hunting the DPT will be fine, if service rifle matches the Waitaki
Being over gunned is under rated.

I got a Gen IV Hardy on my 300 AAC, very happy with it.

It is further out the front than the "normal" ones.

Makes the brass pretty dirty, tumblers are great things

I have a DPT modular can and my shooting mate has a Waitaki engeneering can, the difference is if you want to go high volume fire go the waitaki, as the DPT wont last under that treatment, the upside of the DPT is that it is lighter, and it means you have to show restraint and save bullets. I am tempted to get a waitaki aswell for when I do want to waste bullets and not wreck my super light weight can

Or you can go best of both worlds with an ODL can - super light and designed to handle rough treatment.

After trying Beavis' DPT one on my AR, I went for the same model.
    $200 is hard to beat.
    Balances well too.

Got the Waitaki on my AR and is mint. Can give it death without worry and for 70 grams difference? Harden up haha. Picked mine up for $195.
Currently tossing up between a DPT or MAE can for my 308 bolt. Wouldn't mind the advice without hijacking your thread.
