762mm seems like such a random number? Is there some common reason that is the length of choice?

Get the Magpul enhanced rubber pad at 0.7" thick and a commerical tube/stock for an extra 0.8" as well.

Wasn't there some new policy recently regarding where/when to measure the 762mm minimum length for a collapsible/extendable stock? Is it when the stock is at full extension, allowing the firearm to be under 762mm when collapsed? Or must it be over 762mm at all stock positions?

My AO says from collapsed, but I believe @Digit 's AO says extended.

yep, to where the rifling ends, and muzzle devises do not count as added length even if said device is pinned/permanently attached
