    Hi,

I'm keen to get one muzzle brake type for my 308 (5/8 24 thread). Any reviews, or ideas on cost, where to get one

I just measured my borelocks , to make sure , the brake on the 30 & 338 cal are the same , ie have been made for the 338cal , so the brake is not going to be effective in 30 cal due to the bore size on the brake , at 0.367 inches approx .

Maybe the 5/8 fitting made for the ARs are different .

    Hi Chris,

All the BoreLock muzzle brakes are with the same bore size, to suit calibres from .30 up to .338.

Yes, it may not be the most effective muzzle brake, however it is compact, allowing the suppressor to be of reasonable size.

    Best Regards!

My SL5 BL is very very quiet on my 12.5" AR, it's the quietest can I've used on an AR yet, even compared to longer barrels.

    Hi Tuukka ,

Yes , I donot mind that , as you say , I see it really as a means to fit the borelock part of the SL7 suppressor , and really if you have one , you are going to use it with a suppressor on almost 100% of the time , so to me its not that important that the brake is not sized perfectly for the 30 cal .
What is important is that the suppressor is bored to the correct cal , and that the suppressor locks on to the mount correctly , and stays locked .

    Cheers Chris
