Basically , there are 4 positions for the locking mech to fit , when it does , the part that has 3 locking points , slides out , back towards the action of the rifle , and then a lever clicks into that gap , and thats how it works roughly .
What's the weight?
website say its 600gm , but I donot know if the brake is included or excluded in that weight .
enough to say its not a lite weight hunting can , its rated to handle 300WM , the 338LM version is listed at 665gm .
These cans & brakes are mainly designed around sniper rifles , and as such the brakes are threaded for Sako TRGs at 18x1mm & AI rifles at 18x1.5mm , the brakes are all bored to I think 338 cal , so its used on both cals , the cans are in either 30 or 338 cal .
Later Chris
I just weighed the SL-7 , the can is 586.7 gm , brake is 143.1gm , so together its 729.8 gm .
Is that weight for the brake with or without the goofy thread protector?
SL5 BL .25cal is 595grams with brake, with goofy thread protector.
