    Atac Pro Trigger Tripod

These things are being sold cheap on TM and they look exactly the same as the Primos model costing 4x as much. Something is odd because Atac Pro/Primos even use a picture of the same guy in their marketing. I contacted the vendor (xHunter) and they didn't have anything useful to add.

It's either a very good deal on a rebadged product or something completely unknown/shit. Anyone had any experience with Atac Pro or xHunter?

OK, so I was the guinea pig. I half expected it to be absolute crap, but was pleasantly surprised. A well made and solid tripod. The trigger mechanism/leg extension is smooth, but differs from the Primos version in that the leg angle can't be locked. Just playing with it in the garage, I don't think this is a big deal. Obviously, the real test will be in the field and how long it lasts. It would also make a good camera/spotting scope tripod. At the price, with fast, tracked postage, I would say it is a good deal.

Just like the Primos version in their marketing videos.

Haven't used them an awful lot as my DIY quad sticks are more stable, but no problems. Didn't pay any import duties, but I think the Jacinda tax might not have quite go going at that point.
