ATN LTV 3-9x Smart Scope
Hi all
I had a look at one of these at Reloaders this morning and have viewed a few videos this arvo. Interesting bit of kit that might be handy with the nocturnal deer we have around our bach in Pelorus.

Wondering if anyone on here is using these and can give a bit of real-world experience?
Cheers

A buddy of mine is selling one but with a believe higher specs. He would sell for cheaper off trademe. He’s also in Auckland.

But to answer your question more seriously- it’s had some good use and is seriously cool being able to watch deer and record them, he’s got a good compilation of videos of deer he’s shot as can be set to auto record when a gunshot goes off.
If finding the deer is what your after a thermal is much better - but if you want to record - film and watch them than night vision is definitely the way to go.
Cool little piece of kit- he’s selling as he’s upgraded his hunting rifle.

Thanks SpeightsDrinker
I have the thermal to find them and the 3X I reckon will be better for the area I am would be hunting. Deer shot lately have been very close and via spot light.
I reckon Speights is not bad on tap at the pub!
my Ausie brother in law brought a shite load of Speights bottles and left 6-8 dozen inside the Bach and we don't have a heck of a lot of room - so I stored it under the Bach hoping some bugger might Knick some of it. But even the thieves were not keen - but I got into beer batter and shallow frying cod/gurnard/snapper and it's been great for that and now oh no I am running out of Speights!!!!

Sounds like 3x is the go mate, the night vision is significantly more successful for us than using the old spotlight as they don’t get spooked at all and we can quite happily watch and record them where when we have the spotlight we find we have a much smaller window to shoot them.
Combined with the thermal for finding them it’s quite the combination and we’re shooting a lot more than when we used to only spotlight.
Speights it’s about the only beer I drink - these days mostly the speights summit, bit of a joke with my mates that I only drink it hence the name!
