    ATN nightvision

    Hey all

Wondering if anyone has got any of the ATN gear and had any good success with it at all. I'm really tempted to get some and there's been a couple on sale on TM that have had me tempted. I don't have the cash for thermal gear and want to hunt at night without worrying about a torch or spotlight if I wanna go out by myself. Thanks

I've used ATN in the past, and have not found it to be as good as the competitors.
I've got a pard NV008 and rate it. I had a chat to Ken at 55Six, and when he did a side by side comparison to the Pard offerings, the Sytong has a better night game, but loses out a bit as a day scope. They are also cheaper than the Pard scopes.

You'd rate the NV008 over the atn? Do you find any issues with battery life at all. If you had to choose between Sytong or Pard which would you go?

Never had an issue with the Pard Battery life. Genuine Panasonic 3400mAh cell lasts all night. I use a thermal spotter, so the scope is only on when needed.
ATN I had, the illuminator was absolute rubbish. Image quality suffered as a result.

Never got my hands on a Sytong. Will be interesting to do a side by side comparison, or have someone do one and record the results.

    Same here.
Combined with a thermal spotter it's the ducks nuts, the bee's kness etc for pest control.

If you use it wrong enough.
