Biggest city in NZ and has little to no gunsmiths...it's a dying trade.
Take it to Reloaders Supplies in Onehunga as their gunsmith does good work.
A good job and a good wife has been the ruin of many a good hunter.

I've posted about this before but many years ago i decided my BLR needed a good clean so pulled the action apart, quite easy just pop those pins out to remove the bolt etc. Well getting it back together is a whole different ball game !. I had to take it into my local gun shop who sent it away and when i got it back the bolt still wouldn't close properly so sent it back again . Finally got it sorted but NOT recommended to open up a BLR

Thanks guys for the feed back. I was planning to give my BLR a make over and get barrel, action, lever and hammer spur cerekoted. Now thinking it would be cheaper and easier to buy a box of beer and pretend it's had a spruce up

I take them regularly appart for threading barrels. And put them back together and retime them no problem.
Call the office at Dpt during working hours if you want.

Jeez, that sounds a little extreme. I'm getting images of the terminator stuck to a magnet upside down!
