    Baikal barrel thread question?

    Am wondering if 9/16 × 24 thread would be suitable for my little bush Russian.

    My shitbox vernier puts OD of barrel at what looks 16mm which I figure gives me a bit over 1.5mm meat. Does this seem about right?

    Cal is 7.62x39 if that is relevant. Looking at .30 cal suppressor with 9/16 × 24 thread off a forum member and am keen but just want to make sure I haven't missed something.

    I put a 14x1 on my 303 barrel. Might have been a tiny bit fatter at the muzzle though, and I cant remember its diameter.
    Just over 5/8 maybe? would have to measure it
