About LinkBacksBrowning did make 25-06 rifles with 2" longer barrels than the 270 win and 30-06 had,
Most rifles will be 22-24",
I have a sako 23" I think it is, and preforms well with 110gr accubonds, just under 3200fps,
why are you after a 26", ?,
May be worth looking at the 257 Wby as they are std with a 26" tube. at least if you are pushing for speed, this is the way to go. It will beat the 25-06 by 250fps.
