Barrell end. Is this OK ?

Heres a couple of pics of the barrel end on my 300 win mag.
Noticed while cleaning this am. Its kinda rectangular in shape.

Is this ok or does in need re counter sinking until round ?
Could this create in accuracy ?

I coloured it with felt pen to make it as clear as I could .
Pics a bit blurry close up but hopefully you can tell what it looks like .

    It looks round to me

Optical illusion from having 4 lands and grooves I'd say.

Different from all my others which appear to have a slight counter sink in them. Which is why I asked ... Cheers

Also as I was having a little difficulty sighting it in yesterday was all over the place .. I ll try again later in the week..

Gently insert a projectile pointy end first into the muzzle. It should contact all the lands simultaneously and if it don't, a re-crown is the least that needs doing.

Try to stand the rifle dead perpendicular to the ground and lower the pill from above. It will sit nice if all is good, or you might find it can be rocked slightly one way or the other wich might indicate uneven crowning.
10MRT shooters do it 60 times, in two directions and at two speeds.
