    Before and After

Because I know we all (well almost all) like to pimp our stuff, I thought I would start this thread.
Before picture is a Remington SPS varmint in 223, barrel shortened to 20" as I bought it.

On the back of Pimping rifles, I'd like to ask where can I get my bolt Fluted ? and any indication of cost?

I am sure that there is no real benefit to Fluting a bolt, but hell it looks great IMO.

Couple of weeks go I bought a Toz model 16 single shot .22lr off a fellow forum member. Bit of nostalgia really as that is what I learnt to shoot with. I had the barrel shortened to 14" and after a bit of a sanding and polishing it's came up pretty good. No silk purse but I"m happy

Shoots ok too once I tried a couple of brands of ammo. @Spudattack. I found an old box of Kilwell Whisper I must of had for 20 odd years (in a red packet) and yes, it shot the best out of what I tried. CCI subs were just behind so I have settled on them.

5 shots at 37 yards. I don't blame the rifle for the one bottom right.

I have never understood what makes you fellahs do this stuff. If you want a 7mm Rem Mag then why buy a 300 Win Mag in the first place? If you want to have a laminated stock then why buy a synthetic one? To me it is sort of like me saying I want a tricked up Lamborghini Contage so I am going to get a Mark Two Zephyr and see if I can't spend some money changing everything on it except the battery.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
