    Begara B14 in magnum cals.

Been looking at the b14s in magnum cartridges.
I hear they are accurate. Triggers sound ok and they fit remy aftermarket stocks is that correct?

I'm wondering if they are under rated and good value, robust rifles for the high country.

    Interested in experienced opinions.

At this stage its between a howa and begara. In the mag configuration they seem to weigh the same.

    Cheers...

I have one in 300wm.ive had several they all shot well. How's do to. I like the stock.in the bergara better. Yes rem 700 footprint so trigger and stocks are interchangeable there are a little difference like the safety. And some stocks will need work for the mag but nothing major. I'm a fan of begaras there barrels all seem.to shoot very well

They're definitely good rifles, the stocks on them are better than the houge ones that come on howas. They are Remington 700 pattern but some parts may need minor modifications to fit.

Personally I prefer Howa actions, just have a few things I'm used to and like.

Accuracy wise I don't think you'll see a big difference, however I haven't seen that many shot so don't have a big sample to base that on.

I shoot both Howa and Bergara but my B14 is the only one I have in a magnum (300wm).

I just stripped and re torqued it recently and gave it a zero. Admittedly it is only a 3 Rd group but its accurate with my 208 grain handloads and cheap federal brass.

I'm currently trying to decide between the two brands for a 6.5 build.

Had one in 6.5 creedmoor was very accurate and nice to shoot, only this i didn't like was the 90 degree bolt throw and that you cant lock the bolt down with safety on. Otherwise awesome solid rifles with a very smooth action.

I had one in 7 rem mag and it was nice. Load development was super easy. Whereas a mates 7 rem in howa was very fussy. I preferred the bergara stock.
