I think you are pulling our legs Toby. I have seen a lot of things in my life but unless the links on that belt are of the instantly disolving kind I would imagine that the rifle designer overlooked the fact that you will get frequent jamming on every round.
The old soldiers on here would likely also pick up that the cartidges should be feeding from the left and (even if this was a real situation) the belt is upside down for a right hand ejection.
I have never seen a belt fed gun IRL and have no idea how it works so I assumed this website was real.

Don't believe everything that you come across on the internet. That goes for most of the stuff I write as well.
All of that is BS. All you need to think about is where the links would go to realise it is full of it. And like Rushy said, the links should be on the bottom.

There are all sorts of belt fed guns , usually open bolt LMG , and they use non-distingrating or distingrating metal links , they usually have the links up & feed from the L or R , about the only gun I know that feeds with the links down are the HK21s
would be great for a hunting rifle...........
all the sticks and leaves getting caught in it like a mullet net
it would need a lifter inside it, then somewhere for the belt to go when the the bullet is chambered
to embark on an effort to try make a belt fed bolt gun would be absolutely stupid
No one said you would hunt with it. but it would be cool to just see.
