On youtube theres a few reviews in Spanish on the extreme hunter model ( which is of no use to me ). Think they made a few for the spanish market. Mine says made in Spain on the box. As I understand some are made under license in the USA.

Flyblown....i assure you my 6.5 creedmoor is a extreme hunter model, as Ryan said, iv also seen them side by side in the shop, same specs apart from caliber and barrel length. I also wanted the 308 but there was none left in the country so thought id give the 6.5 a go, pretty happy with it, has dealt to couple bull tahr no worries so far.

I hope it is @charliehorse, because I’m not looking to piss on anyone’s fireworks.

But this has got the distinct feeling of a “local importer” job. All I’m asking is, did the rifle leave the Bergara factory as an entire 6.5 Creedmoor? Or was it assembled locally from various bits (or somewhere else) specifically for this market? The NZ$ pricing and DPT suppressor, and a cheap as scope?

Like I say, trying not to be an arsehole about this - to the point of hoping that Bergara reply to my question with a “yes”. Happy to consume the entire humble pie. Just seems really strange that this product doesn’t get so much as a single mention anywhere else in the world.

I put the question of the whether the Bergara extreme hunter released in NZ being stainless and cerakoted to the Asia NZ rep last year due to conflicting information online and in-store, and got the following reply. In short, yes the extreme hunter released in NZ is stainless and cerakoted. Email correspondence below...

    Hello,

I have a question regarding the Bergara Stainless Extreme Hunter Rifle .308 18" Cerakote, that has been recently released onto the NZ market.

I'm not sure if its me but there appears to be conflicting/confusing information with regard to the action and barrel materials on various websites and in publications. In short can you confirm the bolt/action and barrel are either
    a. stainless steel with cerakote
    or
    b. 4140 CrMo steel with cerakote?

The following is a sample of the conflicting information out there regarding the the Bergara Stainless Extreme Hunter Rifle .308 18" Cerakote...

The Hunting and Fishing 2019 spring catalogue states stainless cerakote barrel and action while their website just states stainless steel with cerakote, not defining what components this applies too...
    https://www.huntingandfishing.co.nz/...rifle-308.html

...the Reloader and Guncity sites state the barrel is constructed of 4140 CrMo steel and finished with cerakote...
    https://www.reloaders.co.nz/shop/Fir...+Cerekote.html
    https://www.guncity.com/308-bergara-...-finish-357147

...with the Broncos Outdoors site does not providing any bolt or barrel information, other than the rifle is cerakoted...
    https://broncos.co.nz/hunting/firear...eme-hunter-308

...and the Rod and Rifle 29 August 2019 article says the bolt and action are both stainless steel and cerakote...
    https://rodandrifle.co.nz/articles/g...xtreme-hunter/

I look forward to your reply.

    Regards.

Not sure what you mean by 4140crmo

But the rifle if diffinately barrel and action full stainless then cerakoted.

Aslo I queried the 6.5 Creedmoor option with Beragra Asia NZ rep and received the following. In short, confirming it too was stainless and cerakoted, and was being delivered from Spain, so I am assuming it was assembled at the Beragra factory before becoming bound for NZ.

@Flyblown I see your point. I also did some googling to satisfy my curiosity and can see what you mean with regard to nothing out there. Probably only interested me as I have the HMR.

So I look forward to the response from Bergara.

The 44 mag ba13 is also a NZ model from memory .

NZ Asia are also the leupold and a tally rings importer .No brainer to do a basic package with their own product and add in NZ's must popular suppressor.
